Not to piss on the president's speech, but did anyone else hear the part about how he will always stand in defense of your second ammendment rights, except when it comes to guns and accessories he doesn't like?

I was told that he said something along the lines of 'I will do everything I can to protect the 2nd amendment'. What a bald faced liar. 'Take the guns, due process later' sounds awfully familiar to me, as well as the lack of ability for acquiring a VEPR, SAIGA or anything Bush or Clinton banned from import.

Typical petulant behavior from Pelosi and the democrat party in general. If they don't get their way, or, are unhappy about the out come after they fabricate a false narrative they throw a fit and act like children.

Mitch McConnell has an opportunity to reciprocate in kind today. It would be awesome to see, but I think he is too much of a professional to stoop that low!

Yea sadly I had to scoff and call bs. Only thing I'm disappointed about him.

Pissed? I'm goddamn glad we have a president who will publicly state that he's all for the 2A.
You guys can cry about whaw, he did this or whaw, he said that.
What he DID do is stand up on his biggest stage and emphatically state that he will stand behind Americans rights to keep and bear arms.

After last night I suspect he will act with class and dignity.

I personally don't GAS about what he says, it's what he does. I'm still waiting for the assault on our gun rights to be over by the way. Let me know when he "does" something for us more than lip service to the 2A community.

Exactly. I can't see Mittens or Jeb ever doing that. And Trump will hopefully leave us with a judiciary that won't trample all over the 2A.

BTW, are bump stocks even gone? What's the current administrative status? With any other POTUS, they'd already be outlawed by legislation.
