    Default Coyote in Bucks county!

While on my lunch break I went to do some drive bye Turkey scouting, as I slowed down I saw a coyote in the field. What sucks about that is the turkeys looked like they just entered the field, just a couple of minutes later he was chasing them around the field. It was a cool thing to watch other than the fact it probably killed one of the turkeys. I know I could look it up but does anyone know if you can shoot a yote in spring gobbler season, something tells me I can but I'm not shore of it. Yotes are everywhere kill them or they will be eating your game animals.

    Yes, yes you can.

COYOTES: No closed season. Unlimited. Outside of any deer or bear season, coyotes may be taken with a hunting license or a furtaker license, and without wearing orange. During any archery deer season, coyotes may be taken while lawfully hunting deer or with a furtaker license. During the regular firearms deer and any bear seasons, coyotes may be taken while lawfully hunting deer or bear, or with a furtaker license while wearing 250 square inches of fluorescent orange. During the spring gobbler season, may be taken by those with a valid tag and meet fluorescent orange and shot size requirements.

I just read pg 78 it says something about no orange, turkey hunting doesn't require orange so I guess I can shoot them if they come into my set.

coyotes are in Plymouth Township Montgomery county. I lost 6 chickens last night to one of them. Any idea how to get rid of them in a suburban area? I've already gotten a ticket for discharging an air gun from the police so shooting them is out of the question.

What I dont understand is farmers always complain about ground hogs destroying their land and their cattle and horses breaking legs and ankles from falling in the holes.

Yet, they always want to shoot every coyote in sight.

If you let the coyotes roam your land that will dramatically reduce the ground hog population.

Out in Wyoming and Colorado, farmers are starting to catch on to this.

Not saying this is your predicament, but just wanted to throw this out there.

It`s kind of like this. If the coyotes clean out the ground hogs, all we have to pick off is coyotes. Predators are slow to propagate into an area as compared to prey animals so, I vote to pop off the coyotes and allow the farmers to keep allowing us to pop off the ground hogs which are usually prevalent anyway.

They are hard on the deer, turkey, and rabbit populations too. As well as chickens and sheep.

    I'll take groundhogs any day
