CCW in State Parks Legal Soon?
I got the ILA email today, after the news about the Amendment to House Bill 1845 being shot down (lost, stolen handgun reporting (READ HERE)) they also mentioned another Amendment that passed.

Re: CCW in State Parks Legal Soon?
I think the founding fathers meant exactly what they wrote: the government should not make any laws restricting the RIGHT of the people to 'hold or retain in one's possession' and 'hold or carry' guns and other weapons that would allow them to keep their government in line.

Re: CCW in State Parks Legal Soon?
Negative. It was an amendment to bill HR1845. In other words, they were voting on whether or not to ADD the amendments to bill HR1845 itself. The bill itself (which now incorporates the amendments that were approved yesterday) has not yet actually been passed by the House.
Also, the Senate needs to pass the bill as well.
We got the first down, but there's still another 40 yards to go.

The Delaware State Park runs from Easton PA. To Bristol PA. on the PA side of the river. It contains the Delaware Canal. It is about 30 yards wide average.
You walk thru it if you cross any of the bridges over the canal.
Makes it so I don't want to visit New Hope anymore.

I'm thinking if HR1845 gets past the governor intact, we should plan a PAFOA picnic at the Bald Eagle State Park. It's central to the state. Everyone open carry of course.
Take pics and sent them to fat eddie.

Is a natural area, such as Alan Seeger Natural Area, considered a state park? Would you be able to carry a handgun for protection in such a natural area?

That's part of the State Forest system so you should be OK there. You can look at
