i just spoke to my funshop guy. They order Ruger through one of the biggest distributer, and they told him that since Ruger introduced SR1911, they have seen less then 400 of them.

In "Guns" magazine, I read today a statement from Ruger that says they are at "full production" and that they are working to expand production but that won't have an impact on market availability for many months.
