Question about eligibility with DUI
Hello,
First time on here. I have had 3 DUI’s in another state. Now I’m officially a resident in PA again, am I able to purchase a handgun?
Please and thank you!

Re: Question about eligibility with DUI
Unless any of the DUI's had a max possible penalty that exceeded 2 years - technically you are OK.
PA 6105(c)(3) only prohibits PA law violations, and unlike other portions of PA's prohibited list - it does NOT have a clause including convictions of similar offenses in other states for the DUI prohibition. In fact, it is very specific on violations of which laws creates the prohibition.
(c) Other persons.--In addition to any person who has been convicted of any offense listed under subsection (b), the following persons shall be subject to the prohibition of subsection (a):
(3) A person who has been convicted of driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substance as provided in 75 Pa.C.S. § 3802 (relating to driving under influence of alcohol or controlled substance) or the former 75 Pa.C.S. § 3731, on three or more separate occasions within a five-year period. For the purposes of this paragraph only, the prohibition of subsection (a) shall only apply to transfers or purchases of firearms after the third conviction.RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland, aubie515

Re: Question about eligibility with DUI
I'm going to say hopefully not. It is so easy NOT to drink and drive. Try growing up before considering a gun.

Tama's Drummer's Glove softens impact to the hands during playing and prevents sticks from slipping away from you. Not sure what I missed there.
Without a time frame and more details we can't really tell much. How long ago did these happen, how far apart?Illegitimus non carborundum est
