    Default Saiga 12 gauge

Ok ... I have a friend that has a Saiga 12ga. He stripped it down to clean it and now can't get the bolt back in. I tried and can't get it back in either. I have to be missing something. I've put AK bolts back in without any issues, so I can't figure out with the issue is. Any suggestions?

btw ... he bought a few pro-mag mags, and we were have a few FTFeed with them. Do they usually need broke in or what?

The majority of the trick is to have the bolt fully extended, set carrier in the far back and press down until it sinks in, depressing the hammer. The carrier can then slide forward on the rails.

The Promags have been junk for me. Surefire, MD Arms Drum and Factory mags have been the only reliable feeding mags for my Saiga.

Mojo you might want to give more details, they basicly just go in like a standard AK bolt.

And the Promag thing, I have one & a friend has one and they seem to work ok for us, I'd buy more.

What other info do you need? I figured it was the same as an AK. Maybe I wasn't pushing down enough. I always forget to spin the bolt on AKs but I was sure that on the saiga it was lined up correctly.

Is the carrier not setting down in the notches of the receiver, or doesn't want to move forward? We can't see what you see.
Yes it's basicly like an AK bolt carrier.
