Ahh freedom .... ( Allegeheny county ltcf process )
I had a Philly issued LTCF that was good until June but unfortunately I have to leave PA for work in a few weeks so I decided to renew my license here in Pittsburgh this morning . Took my picture and got it within 4 minutes . Took nearly six months for my last one down at philly GPU .
Love it !!! just had to share

Yeah, I've spoken of my long, drawn out, process of getting my LTCF here in Allegheny county.
It took 7 minutes from the time I got out of the car until I was done. And there were two people ahead of me.

If you have the form pre-filled you are out real quick. Walking from the lot to the court house can take longer.

Always use a designated driver.
Have them drop you off and circle the block while you do your thing.
Otherwise you'll pay out the ass for parking.

Just worth pointing out that if you had "freedom", you wouldn't need to get an LTCF at all. Residents of several states have such freedom:
Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Idaho, Kansas, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia and Wyoming

Absolutely true. However, relatively speaking, PA (most counties) has got to be at the top of the list for states that require licensing/permitting. $20 for 5 years, no expensive training requirements, etc. and a majority of instant issuance.
Also having at least one state's license/permit is useful for traveling.

Allegheny County Sherrifs office seem to be very pro gun and LTCF friendly.
They have a facebook page and often post positive things about LCTF."One must be a fox to recognize traps, and a lion to frighten wolves” ~ Machiavelli

yes it is.
I was just trying to raise the point that people should not be fooled into thinking that receiving quick service when complying with Man’s infringement on your rights is “freedom”. That sort of complacency is akin to method of capturing and domesticating wild animals by slowly fencing in the area where you have left food for them to eat.
