No Ammo and WHY?

I seriously doubt that the gubment is buying up all the .22LR, .25 auto, .32 auto, and all the other oddball ammo that is currently just as much in short supply as the more common types.

OK, so the government bought up all the ammo in 2008, too. Why did they give it back to us a couple years later? Seems like a wasted effort.

It aint the government. Call these places. They have sold and backordered a years worth of stuff to us in the past two months. Not to the government, to us.

Did I quote any one person? I'm making fun of the entire thread because it doesn't take an economist, or even a chimp for that matter, to figure out why there's an ammo shortage.

Maybe we can tackle the burning question as to why AR's or Pmags cost so much next.

Yeah, I sort of merged both of their words/posts, but since they blended beautifully into one another, I just left it stand as is.

Even the "getting someplace" comment is funny based on ONE hypothesis.



Methinks the OP may not have been around for any of the other causes of panic purchasing in recent history, but unless he answers my 3 questions, we won't know for sure.
Most anyone who HAS seen at least ONE of those, has a basic understanding of "where the ammo is" now.

No. But the oddball ammo is being manufactured on the very same equipment, thait is currently being engaged in fulfilling gubmint order of 1+ billion rounds. Not to mention, supply of powder, brass and the rest of the components required is finite too.
