    Default building a 1911 in 9mm ???

    am thinking of building a 1911 in 9mm though ,,would it be very hard too acomplish ? what parts would i need ,,? thanks for any help ,,

    Same as building any other 1911, but most 9mm guns use a ramped barrel.

    Building a 1911 isn't as easy as building an AR or other guns. There are plenty of reference manuals available.

    while that vid is beyond awesome, and for sure the best assembly vid i've ever seen it doesn't quite put into perspective what goes into building a 1911. They aren't like AR's where its all drop in mil-spec parts, they all need fitted, smoothed, and eventually thrown against a wall.

    That's a detail strip....not a build. You can't just buy 1911 parts and put them together like an AR or Glock. Most 1911 parts are not drop in.....and if they are....they rattle like hell.

    That being said, fitting everything but the barrel is not that hard if you have the patience.

    seems kinda expensive and hard ..maybe i should just save up some more $$$$$ and buy a springfield emp
