outdoor ranges for 12 guage and .223 firing
I bought a Colt AR-15 and a nice 6-24 scope, and a Mossberg 500 shotgun this month, and I was just wondering if there was any good outdoor ranges with 100yd or more distances, and that allow assault rifle and 12 gauge firing?
I definitely can't use the 12 gauge at my current indoor range, and i'm limited to using frangible rounds for the AR there too. I'd also like to get that scope zero'd out at a long range too.
Any suggestions? I was thinking anywhere in montgomery county or the surrounding counties within say an hour or so.

Is Adams county too far? I don't know where Montgomery Co is.

West Shore Sportsman's Association in Lewisberry. They allow buckshot on their shotgun ranges, and have a 250 yard rifle range. Here are their websites:

Adams county might be a bit too far, for regular visits at least.

Just check the ranges ahead of time for ammo capacity limitations. There are a bunch of places around here (I'm in Trappe right down road from you) that limit mag capacity to 5 rounds or such. Shotgun no problem, but can get tedious with your AR.
Or not, depends on whether you are doing methodical shooting or just plinking.
