    Default Budget Scope

    Hello All,

I'm entertaining the idea of getting a Rem 700 chambered in .30-06 sometime and I'm looking for some scope suggestions for somewhere in the $50 to $150 range. Any input would be helpful!

    Thanks!

In that price range get the best bushnell you can find. I had a pair of barska binoculars once. One lens pointed one way the other another way. Emailed barska and they sent another pair...same result, not as bad but not really useable either.

If you have another $100 or so to put into it you could get a nikon buckmaster. I have one on my .223 and it's night and day different from a budget scope. Total shipped was in the $260 ball park..

I don't have a specific scope in mind due to your budget constraint.

Don't go and buy a cheap scope, you get what you pay for.

Save up and get a decent scope, buy once not twice.

I agree. It's "cheaper" to buy once..

I have 2 of these. I like them, and they are cheap.

Don't be afraid to spend the money on a good scope. It is a worthwhile investment. A cheap scope will fail on you at the least desirable time. The Bushnell Legend is within your budget and will work ok. Otherwise save a little more and get an even better scope, you're putting it on a pretty good rifle, don't go cheap.
