I don't know why people get so fucking menstrual when you point out that a Hi-Point is not in the same class as... well, pretty much anything on the market.
It's a cheap, functional carbine that has almost no redeeming qualities other than the fact that they work well - and they are cheap.

Well, honestly, I don't think they're all that inexpensive these days. I paid $120 for mine brand new, which was a good deal for sure, but the price they want for them now? No thanks.

Nobody is fooled by the claims that they are "just as good" as other carbines.
It's the same syndrome that poor people have when they claim that they are SO happy with their POS beater car that is "just as good" as any high end vehicle. I mean, I loved my Cavalier - I really did - but I'd never claim that it's better than/equal to a luxury SUV just because it also went good in the snow and cost a fraction of the price - and it started right up every time. LOL!

If you truly believe that a carbine that accepts a 10 round mag is "awesome", then it would seem that you would have a LOT more good to say about the Ruger instead of trying to convince everyone that your range toy is superior in every way "because it costs less".

FYI, 20 round mags can be had for the Hi-Point.

    .
Oh. I know all about those mags.

That's like beating an ugly stick with an ugly stick.

Rather than saying those are "dumb", I'll just say they are not exactly practical.

Back on topic, I plan to get the new Ruger. I have Ruger mags for it and lots of 33 round Glock mags.

The breakdown feature is nice. I could put it in a backpack and jump on the motorcycle. I will wait until the summer to buy.

I need you all to buy them - so that there's a nice supply on the used market for me to choose from!

That is usually my way of doing it as well. For this I will probably go new. I need this gun and the last time I bought new I needed that gun. Both are Rugers by the way.
    Some people just plain suck.

Carbine looks alright. I'd probably get the Security 9 first. I'm just attracted to the hammer fire lately. I usually wait a year or two after initial release, buy used if possible or practical.
