Sounds out of context. If taken literally, the cops better leave their own guns at the station house armory.

He's also been very clear that he will follow the existing law with regard to stop and frisk. As for what to do when a gun is found, PPD's soliciter will get him out of DC's fascist gun ban mode and back to thinking like an American quickly enough.

Definitely keep an eye on this though. If you can find a link to a story with the full quote let me know and I'll be happy to write him and PPD's counsel to get clarification. Despite the "crime emergency," LTCFs are still completely valid and must be honored. The city's own law even says so explicitly.

Actually, on second thought, if you can find a link to a particularly juicy quote, get me a link and I'll try to get a FTF meeting with one of his deputies or with someone in their law dept.
