How about the retention of the 2 Commonwealth Court judges who are also on the ballots statewide? Kevin Brobson and Patricia A McCullough, what do we know about them?

They are both Republicans. McCullough is from the Pissburg with an h area. Brobson is from the eastern part of the state. Brobson ruled in his court when the democrats began the takeover of the state with their scheme of including urban welfare zones with rural areas as they did in New Jersey. Brobson ruled the Republican plan for redistricting did not violate the PA Constitution. Then the case was sent to the democrat controlled because gun owners stayed home PA Supreme Court as a fait accompli giving democrats the same power as was given them in New Jersey to include urban welfare zones in with suburban and rural areas as part of districts. As far as gun control issues go I cannot find any rulings for or against but then again I only did a cursory search. I would say that retention is probably called for since they both do not self identify as democrat socialists. I will be voting for their retention.

Both of them are endorsed by FOAC, as is Judith Olson.

Two Superior Court Judge candidates are both supported by FOAC. Vote for them!

Wanted to re-boost this thread. Vote tomorrow as if you rights depended on it. Surprised to see FOAC supporting the Democrat candidate for District Attorney in Wayne County.

As a general rule of thumb, if I have to spend more than 5 minutes looking for info on candidates, I'm wasting my time. Because few others will spend that kind of time looking for info.

I looked for info on the NRA site, and found a map that appears to say that there's no election in PA in 2019. Not helpful.

I looked for news stories about the election tomorrow, and nobody cares about the Common Pleas retentions at all. They barely talk about the Superior and Commonwealth courts, and when they do, they talk about their job history like it's a gossip column, not how they ruled in cases.

I don't want to vote for the kind of judge who can see the words "any person" who has an out-of-state license, and interpret that to mean "any person except a Pennsylvanian". I want to vote for judges who act like judges, not wanna-be legislators or self-designated wise elders who know better than anyone else.

I'm left with the usual rule, "Democrats are activists who push their agenda and ignore our laws and constitution, while Republicans are less often activists". Not a perfect system, but in the absence of the NRA or other gun group putting in the work and publishing a guide, it's all I see.

    For retention:
Olson, Brobson and McCullough are Republicans.
    Lazarus is a Democrat.

For Superior Court, the ballot tells us that King and Peck are Republicans.
    Green-Hawkins and McCaffery are Dems.

In the absence of a voting guide from a group I trust, I'm going straight R this time, and voting to retain Olson, Brobson and McCullough.
I will vote AGAINST Marsy's Law, for reasons stated elsewhere. It's a monstrosity that deprives the accused of rights enshrined in our culture and in the US Constitution, and PRESUMES that any accuser is the "victim" before any tribunal determines that any crime occurred. The fact that our state Legislature voted in favor of this POS law tells me that we need to do a better job of electing our legislators, too.

I recently saw something about they're wanting to do away with the straight party buttons.
