    Default Largest carry gun?

What’s the largest handgun you find yourself carrying?

Mine is this 6 inch model 57 in .41 magnum. It’s with a Safariand high ride. The weight is not bad at all in this holster. It's got Winchester PlatinumTips in it (240 gr. @ 1250 ft/s). I open carry this rig often, and it does get quite a bit of 'looks'.

After carrying this, my Colt 1911 feels compact and lightweight.

Sig Sauer P226 Legion 9mm. 4.5" barrel, overall length 8" is my edc. I picked up a shoulder rig for my 50 desert eagle but havent tried it yet. Figured I would carry it for a bit over the winter just to say I did and to see if anyone notices me conceal carrying it anywhere

I will very rarely carry my FN 5.7, it's full sized but light weight.

How does the loaded weight actually compare to a 5" 1911 (say 8+1 230g)?

Kind of surprised the trigger is exposed though. I realize there is retention over the hammer.

I know my Colt 1991a1 weighs about 36 ounces *unloaded*. This 6 inch model 57 weighs 47.6 ounces *unloaded* according to S&W website.

Theres's more than a 10 ounce difference between the guns. I would guess that 8 rounds of 45 (I carry with 7 round mags) weighs *less* than 6 rounds of 41 magnum.

The exposed trigger revolver holsters used to give me the creeps, but since the hammer is locked by the thumb break, I'm not worried about it. LEO's carried in these types of holsters for decades. I really don't even notice it anymore.

Please don't take it as any kind of disrespect, I just happened to notice it. I bet I have some older revolver holsters that are the same. I looked up a google search and noticed them as well.

Never carried anything larger or heavier than an all steel Kahr K40.

I think I'll need a stylish holster for my stainless .357 vaquero now..
