    Default Prescription Shooting Glasses

I am facing the inevitable as I get older. My eyes aren't as good as when I was younger and am looking at getting prescription shooting glasses. Does anybody out there have any? If so, how do you like them, where did you get them and how much did you pay? I won't need them to read any posts, but I am getting there. Thanks for your help.

I like the idea of a set of prescription lens that snap into the shooting glasses instead of having shooting glasses made to your prescription. This way as your prescription changes, you just swap out the lens and keep the original shooting glasses. Your other option is contact lens (if you are a candidate) and regular shooting glasses. (this is what I do).

Not to be goofy but you can pay as little or as much as you want. The important thing is to get the right prescription. My prescription shooting glasses put infinity out around 30 inches. Any smart eye doctor will be able to adjust your script for that. You might also want to think about getting the optical center of the lens moved to where you normally peer through to look at the sights.

Color depends on what type of shooting you are doing. You don't want anything really dark as that will open your pupil wide which results in a shortened depth of field.

I have contacts but I cant stand wearing them...My prescription is pretty minor right now...i believe it is .75, so I only need glasses for driving at night or seeing at distances....but I know when I wear my regular glasses for shooting, i tend to shoot better. Pretty miraculous right??? I dont really care how much I pay, just as long as they protect my eyes and I can see well. I saw some one sight Rudyprojectusa.com that had some nice ones...but the prescription lenses snap on behind the protective lenses. But one set comes with like 5 different color lenses. I should just pay up and get Lasik.
