    Default AKM KIT BUILD

I purchased at Romanian akm kit. It has a Us made barrel installed and head spaced. I also bought a 80% receiver and all parts needed to finish the build. Can anyone recommend a gunsmith in or near the Lehigh valley that can do the build for me?

    YEA about that.,...
YOU need to finish it OR you need a type 07 MFR to make it and you get all the paperwork anyway just if you just bought a finished one.
Now if you had a 100% receiver it would be something else.

I think you would have a better chance finding a gunsmith to do the job with a 100% receiver.

And If you complete an 80% receiver, you can never sell it.

That's not true. You can sell a home built gun down the road. You just can't build one specifically to sell. That would be manufacturing.

That is correct. But you also need to engrave information on the receiver before selling it. I believe last name of maker and city.

    Not required. Manufacturing is separate.

My question is why would someone sell their creation. Before you say money, that’s what manufacturers do.

Almost forgot. Ianal. You should consult one.

Somethime you need to thin the herd, or move on to other hobbies etc. My opinion is to build it yourself, they aren't that hard. Unless you are building a "collectable" where you want all matching markings etc I dont see the point in paying someone to build it. You'll have as much money into it as you would buying a factory built rifle
