Bass Pro transfers
Anyone know how much Bass Pro charges to do a person to person transfer? I'm meeting up with a coworker on Tuesday to make a trade, and on his end he's trading me a pistol. I'm just trying to figure out how much I'll be spending on this trade. Oh, and I'll be meeting him at the Harrisburg location, incase it matters.

Re: Bass Pro transfers
Unless they have changed the rules recently I don't believe that Bass Pro in Harrisburg, Pa. does private party transfers.
Someone else pointed these out but Staudt's, Mechanicsburg Ordinance, SPAR, Lanco Tactical, Horseshoe Pike Gunshop and Trop's are all within a reasonable drive and I'm certain most are pretty decent with their transfers but I'd call just to verify prices.
I have done transfers and been in Staudt's in the recent past and have had very good experiences. It's also only about 15 minutes or so from Bass Pro.Last edited by Bellerophon; June 13th, 2018 at 06:46 AM.

Re: Bass Pro transfers
I'm aware of all those places and have done transfers at a few of them too. I was just curious since bass pro is closest to my house. Yes, I did call them too when they were open on Monday. I posted the question originally because they were closed at that time. We will be doing the transfer at Spar because it's not too far of a drive for my coworker when he gets off shift for the day. I'd prefer Mechanicsburg Ord because of the cheaper transfer fee but, it's $40 transfer and a 30-06 rifle I don't want for a Walther P-38 that's probably worth more than the rifle and fee combined.
