Question regarding purchase of a long gun
Can anyone fill me in on any laws regarding an NJ resident purchasing a long gun in PA? Does the purchaser need to present their NJ FID and so forth?

Re: Question regarding purchase of a long gun
Since their already coming over the border from New Jersey-stan, tell 'em just to make a break for it and be free.

Re: Question regarding purchase of a long gun
I think long guns can be purchased directly by NJ residents. I'm not sure about the ID card, but bring it. There should be nothing else required except a valid drivers license and a check book. The standard background checks apply.
The better option would be the previous post.FUCK BIDEN

Re: Question regarding purchase of a long gun
Anyone from any state can purchase a LONG gun in another state. It is 100% under federal law make sure to check state but it should be ok. All you should need is a drivers license and pass the Instant Background Check. I bought a long gun in Ohio with no problems. Surprsingly, ohio has less strict gun laws than my beloved PA go figure.

Re: Question regarding purchase of a long gun
When I lived in NJ, I purchased long guns in Delaware and in PA, you will need your FOID or you won't be buying anything.
The shops, especially close to the NJ border have pretty big customer bases with folks coming over from NJ and most know the routine. Not to many good shops in NJ anymore....which is good for PA shops close to the border."Disperse you Rebels! Damn you! Throw down your Arms and Disperse!" Re: Question regarding purchase of a long gun
I may be wrong but I believe the law says that you must conform to the laws of the state you reside in as well as the laws of the state that you are going to purchase the firearm. So a NJ resident will have to show his FOID to the gunshop in PA.
