Default Red dot for my Glock 23 Gen 5.

I’m getting a new red dot for my gen 5 Glock 23. I’m leaning towards the Trijicon RMR 2. Any suggestions before I make up my mind?

    Thanks.

RMR is probably the best but Red dots and my astigmatism don*t play nice together, so I went with a Holosun SCS on my gen5 G17. What I like is the low profile, no battery and green dot, happy with it so far.

For my 19x MOS I went with a Holosun 509T for same reason, green dot. Not a lot of use with it yet but I do like it so far.

I had two RMR*s and sold both, if they ever come out with a green dot I*ll pick one up for sure.
    Today was a good day!

Very happy with my RMR with 3MOA dot. Auto dim feature great for carrying and shooting in different light conditions.

I'm a Trijicon fan myself, but know plenty of guys who like the Holosun. .40 S&W is quite snappy. I wouldn't go with a bargain brand.

This! A .40 caliber with a shorter slide lke a 23 will be on the upper scale of energy imparted into the optic. It depends how much you shoot, but buy a really good optic and make sure to have it mounted correctly (use a torque wrench, blue loctite and make witness marks). For example, Aimpoint brags that the ACRO survived 10k rounds on the slide of a .40 caliber pistol... so that use case is rough on the optic.

I’ve heard the same and agree don’t compromise on price here
