Re: Toomey Response on HPA
I agree with everything you said! But, that is why we will never get a better candidate than Toomey. Unless we are willing to show the Republican mainstream party some pain in the form of a lost election or two, they will never change. If the Dem candidate is too abhorrent which they probably will be, then vote third party. That is what I am likely to do if the idiot Repubs cant manage to get Obamacare repealed and replaced with something better, tax reform passed, and both 50 state and hearing protection passed. If they don't do these all in the next 10-12 months, it will never happen. I don't want to hear ANY more of their lying BS! It will never happen if not now! It won't be any easier 1 year from now or 10 years from now. The time is right now! Or maybe they don't really care about those issues really, as opposed to feathering their own beds and staying in office?? What Trump has done mainly for the political process, is to pull the safety net away from the incumbents showing them for what they really are. A bunch of posturing charlatans who have no real intention of doing any of the things they said they would. Its easy to bluster and bluff and tell everybody what you will do, when you are outnumbered in the House, Senate, and Presidency and have no chance of actually doing anything. But now that the coast is clear and they can ram anything through, suddenly, they look like the Three Stooges trying to paint a room. Why, they're just a victim of circumstances, nyuk, nyuk, nyuk....

Re: Toomey Response on HPA
Bingo! If only more people would join the movement and realize there are more(usually) than two evil option to choose from. Unfortunately, everyone says "they have no chance, it's a wasted vote".... Of course, if the consensus feels and votes that way, third party will never have a chance. But if more people started to realize there usually IS a choice, third party could be right up there with R's and D's. It takes an attitude change to cause real waves... as long as people are set in their ways, things will stay the same. Instead of thinking "third party vote is a waste", people should be thinking, "if we start a movement and vote third party, and get all of our friends to vote third party, we could cause real change". It's kind of like a pessimism vs optimism thing.

Re: Toomey Response on HPA
Why vote for Toomey if he is 2nd Amendment sellout?

Re: Toomey Response on HPA
Because the DEMS are completely a waste. Toomey is in line with some of my views. What we need is someone that is a conservative and supports the 2nd. Toomey has voted for some pro-gun bills, whereas the Dems would vote against them all.
No candidate is perfect for all voters. All votes are a compromise unless you are voting for yourself, because no two people agree on everything.

Re: Toomey Response on HPA
As BobGun said, there are more views than just the 2nd. True, it is one of the more important issues, but you have to take in the whole package. Bad is still bad... but who is worse, looking at things from a conservative perspective - a candidate who is so-so on the 2nd, but pro-life, pro-liberty, anti-socialism, etc., or a candidate who is anti-gun, pro-choice, pro-big govt, pro-welfare, etc.? There is more issues important to me, than just the 2nd. Again, true, that is probably the biggest, but a candidate can be pro-2nd and a complete douchenugget on everything else. Would you vote for El Chapo? Pretty sure he's pro-gun... Does the rest of his stances and beliefs matter?
I personally would prefer a 3rd party candidate to Toomey.. or at least someone to challenge him.. But to most people, a "so-so" 2nd amendment politician is better than a complete anti-2nd and uber liberal one. That is, unfortunately, why we are still stuck with him.III%

Re: Toomey Response on HPA
Yes but if you all refuse to vote and support any Republican candidate that is not 100 percent supportive of the 2nd Amendment you would in the long run get better Republican candidates. Now you get shit or lesser shit. And you know what happens when you put a drop of shit in a bucket of water. You get a bucket of shit.
