    Default Gun in the truck/car?

I like to hear thoughts on keeping a gun in your vehicle 24/7.

Just about everyone here doesn't think that is a smart thing to do.

I myself don't like to keep a gun in my vehicle when I'm not in it. Don't like the notion of car getting stolen or broke into and my gun is gone with it.

My procedure is that there's a gun in the car 100% of the time I'm in the car.

Yeah, leave a gun in the car, car gets stolen, driven across the wrong imaginary line on a map and then the gun gets found by the new 'owner' and used improperly. I could see that ending in a really bad way in a courtroom. Dead child, parents weeping for a jury, owner has his financial future ruined. Oh, and the car thief gets slapped on the wrist.
