On AR-15.com people are held to no more than two listings in the same section on the first page. They also have a lot more categories as was suggested above.

I think one per month per section, especially with only a few sections, is too restrictive.

I think one way of improving this new format and avoid Vague titles of sell items would be to add more "specific" sub-categories.

    For example:
Within classifieds, the Firearms section is too general.
    Instead try something like this:

    FIREARMS
    -PISTOLS/REVOLVERS
    -SHOTGUNS
    -RIFLES

    ACCESSORIES
    -MAGAZINES
    -AMMO
    -ATTACHMENTS
    -OTHER

This will allow people to have up multiple threads in various sub-categories so they can sell a variety of items without having to Edit them too much in 1 broad thread.

Not all items need a picture.

I mean, if someone is selling VHS tapes, is a picture of them really going to move the needle for you?

I want to see a sample of the actual surface of the tape. And an 1000MP photo of the VHS tape content playing on an 8K TV.

I don't see why we can't just ban the junk posters. We'd still have the morons posting used guns for over MSRP, but it would help a lot. The junk posters don't even contribute to the forum in general. This is just a free listing site to them.
Exactly. They have no input here whatsoever. Only using it because you have to pay craigslist now to list your garbage.

These are basically nothing more than spammers, why are we allowing spammers?

Dealing with the spammers is really the only correction needed.

That's a start. Just buy everything he owns. Take one for the team.

But on a serious note, if he can navigate here, he can probably navigate FB Marketplace, which would be a better venue for all the non-firearm items he has listed.

So what are we doing with any ads we already posted prior to the rule changes?

Do we just repost a new ad for them now?
