To make legislators get that feeling when they're dealing with us means we're doing our jobs as citizens, and as a grassroots group, and being effective in the process. Keep up the pressure guys, we're rounding the clubhouse turn!
Just a note guys... remember, WE are NOT the only "group" that will be sending emails and phone calls to the Legislators. I mean, you can bet your last dollar that CEASE-FIRE and other opponents will be doing ALL that they feel is right to counter this BILL.

So, that just means that we can not be complaisant and feel that if we send a few emails, that will be enough. We NEED to send enough to get OUR point through PLUS more to counter the opponents' emails. Make sense?

    If I understand this right...
we're off for Monday Oct. 18, but on for Nov. 8?

(I need to know when to take off from work.)

~ UPDATED OFFICIAL VOTE DATE FOR HOUSE CONCURRENCE IS NOVEMBER 8TH ~

the original date of october 18th has been cancelled

    * please note that it is still unclear whether this is the date of the house rules committee concurrence vote, the full floor concurrence vote, or both

Is that a bad sign that a vote is pushed to Nov. 8? Can we urge them for a sooner date?

This is bullshit. There will be no motivating factors for them to hold true to their word on this after the election....

BTW where is this information even coming from?

October 18 is shown as a "non-voting session day."

Just because those are voting days doesn't mean that they will be voting on 1926. In fact, because it is after the election if the Democrats lose the House they could just sit on it and refuse to bring it up.

All the more reason (and time), to call and email and fax, and get their word of honor exactly what their intention is, especially if they are "wishy-washy" in their stance.

Their vote, imho, is more a matter of honor, than if they win or lose.
They still have a duty they swore a oath to protect.
    This bill is constitutionally sound.
