Granted, I haven't hunted in about 35 years, but I had never heard of such a thing in Pennsylvania.
Yes but not nearly as much as tree stands.
The closest my little group has come to having a shot on a deer was while my two buddies were using a blind. If my less thoughtful friend did not shift to look out the window my other friend would have had a very easy shot on a doe with his bow.

Other than that we have only seen the ass end of a few deer a hundred yards away.

Too junky? Too heavy? Good for a beginner? Easy to carry? What am I missing? Can I fit my slim teenage son in with me? Wat is shoothrough mesh? What mods would be required? Any recommendations ? Will this work for dragging in and out every day?
We fit three grow men in one that size uncomfortably with my oversized folding chair. It was more than enough room for two of us.
I don't know the brand so I can't guess on quality but we paid around $80 for ours at Cabelas so.....
Shootthrough mesh is exactly what it sounds like.

What about the chair I linked? Seems light but maybe there is something better and light?

I don't like that type of chair but I weigh more than most. A lot of hunting is trial and error. Some things you will have to test out and decide what you like.

I get you. I am carrying a blind, crossbow/rifle, knife and whatever else is necessary. I want to be able to carry a chair that is not too heavy/bulky but still not have a numb butt after an hour ha ha!

    What do YOU use?

I use an over sized folding sports type chair when using a blind. To be honest we have pretty much went to stalking and walking. We haven't had a blind out in a while. I pack light. Sometimes just what I carry in my pockets. We did not hunt deer at all this year only small game.

bear in mind, you were concerned about dragging a heavy deer. Now you will be dragging: deer, blind, chair, gun/crossbow, binocs, day pack etc.

At that point, I'd almost be hoping NOT to shoot a deer

Yup, I get you ha ha! You have to carry something in I suppose! I mean, I need binocs and a small pack to carry whatever I need. I need the crossbow of course. ;-)

I can drag out in separate trips if needed but basically the blind, chair and pack adds 20lbs total. I can manage that, trying to stay as lightweight as possible.

My perfect world is getting a hunting pack that I can place the folded blind in as well as the few items I need to carry to the field with me. Strap a 3lb chair to that and I am set. Bonus if I can attach the crossbow to that. Anyone with ideas? That way, one pack holds all. I don't need to carry much with me but something like I described would be primo because I think strapping the carrying case for the blind along with a hunting pack would be awkward.
