Re: Things to do in Pittsburgh...?
Yeah ... I never got the Primanti's thing, either. Even if you are one who likes his fries and slaw in the same bun as the sandwich meat, flavor counts! There are so many terrific foods around here, why eat what looks like somebody threw out?
As for the sub, it is very interesting, and the volunteers who man it know a LOT about the subject. If you have never been in a sub, it's worth taking an hour to walk through.

thanks for the suggestions. we have cheesecake factories out here in SE PA so I'll be skipped that.

The original is in Sharon.
I personally think that QS&L is kinda a chain now and not as good as it once was. Same thing happened to Primanti's. Primanti's is still the local flavor though. If you want awesome wings(or food in general), Fat Heads in South Side can't be beat.

I think Quaker Steak is still good, perhaps the stigma is different, but it is not like they started baking the wings and using a different sauce. Great place, but Fat Heads is worth checking out.
Jeff Cooper was a huge supporter of gun games, when he was winning them at least...

Re: Things to do in Pittsburgh...?
Quaker Steak is a little overrated, but a cool place nonetheless. My favorite wings in this area come from Big Shot Bobs House of Wings, they are in Coraopolis, but I think they have another location somewhere else. I think my favorite place to go to drink in Pittsburgh is the Hofbräuhaus in Southside. Awesome beer, and an all around good time.
