I just think he's going to have trouble being a Republican.. ANY Republican is going to have a hard time getting in office right now, just becasue of the current administration... IMHO.

You may be right - but he's more 'old school.' He actually follows through with his actions and is pretty spotless on the background - no oil companies or pharmaceuticals in his pockets. What you see is what you get. That will be HUGE in the debates.

So much potential for this guy. Not only can he take 10-15% of Libertarian-turned-Democrats because of the last 6 years but he could take a nice portion of the Republican base as well....if they can manage not to get caught up in the Hannity & Rush bullshit-a-thon or the Religious Right. Both of which aren't interested in less Gov't spending.

I think he's got a chance, we just have to start early in promoting him to friends and family. You can blame the "Liberal Media" til the cows come home but pundits pick the candidates and you can be sure that none of them, on either side are interested in Ron Paul.

EDIT: He's on myspace as well. Personally, I think myspace is for retards but it's a good Campaign tool. Add him if you have an account.

Found a website which is polling who you would vote for President in 2008, and Ron Paul is listed (along with some others that I might consider). I voted for Dr. Paul; cast your vote!

If you really support the guy, think about throwing him a couple bucks.

Remember reading how Obama has caught up to Hillary in financing? I read that most of his contributions were UNDER $100 per person.

    Everyone can make a difference.

Ron Paul is a republican representative in congress from Texas. It's funny because people who don't know anything about him immediately judge him based on region and political party. well bush messed us up quite good and he's a texas republican too right? well ron paul is different. he's the total opposite from bush. being a texas republican means nothing. don't judge based on region or political party, judge based on his actions and track record. myself and the rest of the political activists i associate with online all support ron paul for president because he stands in support of the nationalist freedom that the bush administration has dilligently worked to destroy. it's a shame we passed up our opportunity to do the right thing and impeach bush/cheney but hopefully we don't miss our opportunity to do the right thing in electing ron paul as president in 2008.

I think Ron Paul would have a very good chance of winning election if people voted on the issues alone. But alas, Ron Paul does not (yet) have the name recognition that seems to be needed. Hopefully this can be corrected before the primaries.

Two of the leading Republican candidates, Rudy Giuliani and Mitt Romney, have deplorable records on upholding the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.
