Grease vs Oil for Semi Autos

History would suggest that this is pretty much the skinny on grease, as long as it is the right kind. Oil (the right kind, as well) can be used in a slide type environment as long as it is constantly replenished, either by sealed precision or pumped.

Using a good oil will keep the oil where it needs to be and allow you to use one lube for almost all guns.

Weapon Shield grease on the rails, then Weapon Shield oil on the rest.So far on my Les Baer 1911 ( my tightest gun ), it runs like an ice cube sliding across a sheet of glass..!! And no failures to speak of.

I don't even use oil, any longer. My grease gun is a short, hyperdermic horse needle on a 30cc syringe. Works great.
