Re: Shipped ammo today. What a nightmare!
UPS "STORES" are not true UPS hubs, they handle UPS shipments and can set there own rules. You can find UPS "stores" inside Staples, Office Max, MailBoxes Etc., Office Depot, etc. To ship ammo, gun parts, full guns, etc., you have to go to a UPS Customer Service Center or a UPS Hub. If the counter person gives you any grief, stop them in their tracks and get the manager, all the instructions to ship these types of things are fully outlined in their own regs. There is also a sticky on the forum explaining these things.

USPS - a non FFL can ship bullets or cases, not loaded ammo. A person can also ship a long arm to a person in the same state or to a FFL in any state.
UPS and FedEx - a non FFL can ship loaded ammo, gun parts or assembled guns as long as you do it by their regs. Again a person can ship a long arm to anyone not prohibited within their state or a handgun or long arm to any FFL in the US.Ron USAF Ret E-8 FFL01/SOT3 NRA Benefactor Member

Re: Shipped ammo today. What a nightmare!
When the FREEP did THAT become policy?!?!
I've NEVER had a problem with UPS Stores and ammo... of course, I haven't shipped any in at least 2 years, either. I notice UPS still DELIVERS my ammo with no problems.
Maybe you need to let a TSA agent come over, and give you a slow dance, and get to third base with you, before it'll ship.

Re: Shipped ammo today. What a nightmare!
I believe the OP was talking about a UPS Store that is not a UPS Customer Service Center or a Hub. These UPS "Stores" are like franchises that are general shipping places and they can set their own rules. I have never had any problems shipping from a Customer Service Center or a Hub.

Ammo is one thing - tag ORM-D for sure.
As for parts, unless they open the box of "car parts", how will they know? I'm just saying... Make sure you play by the rules where jail time could be involved for breaking said rules. What's the worst that can happen - UPS returns the package to the sender?Soap Box - Worn out : Ballot Box - Broken : Jury Box - Pending : Ammunition Box - Unknown

I would rather die in a shootout than get assassinated in a "gun free zone"

Re: Shipped ammo today. What a nightmare!
^^^^
This,
Every time I put up ammo for sale, I try to explain that I have to drive to the UPS hub or create a UPS shipping account to ship ammo as well as leave work early to get to the HUB.
Driving and my time cost money, so I always say FTF only, only to get 5 people telling me how easy it is to ship ammo and that if I would ship it they would buy it.
Bah, not for me.
