I just had a nice conversation with the business owner. He is definitely pro-gun, but the mention of possible OC made him pause just a bit. He personally has no problem with it, knows it's legal, but he is also concerned about many "mothers and children" that patronize his business and their reactions. I assured him all weapons would remain holstered, this was not a "show and tell" session, and also that I understood his business concerns and how they differed from his personal beliefs. I affirmed that his rights as business owner trump my right to carry there, and we do not want to go where we are not welcome.

He said that while he had never been asked such a question, he was pleasantly surprised that I would offer the courtesy of talking with him beforehand about the issue. He needed to talk to another party with a financial interest and get back with me.

If OC is not wanted, will making this a "CC only" event be a deal-breaker for any of you? Don't want a debate on OC vs. CC, just will you attend if you can't OC?

I will attend regardless of OC vs. CC depending on the date that is decided upon.

I haven't heard back from the establishment owner in regards to OC, but since no one seems to have problem not OCing for this get together, let's move forward with planning.

How about Sat. 9/22 at 12:00 at C. R. Bucks? (map here) The address for this establishment is 2830 Lincoln Way West, Chambersburg, PA.

Jeez this gnbrotz guy is everywhere I go! I just signed up and found out about everything going on. I do not have my permit yet but I can live with the fact I would be the only one not carrying.

Only thing dictating my attendance is work. (Regardless of W/D or W/E)

(BTW don't you have some GPS coordinates for that place somewhere?? Ha ha)

Welcome Firegy15! I believe you've been to the meeting spot before for other purposes. Check here if you need the coords to get there.

When will you have your schedule for next weekend?

Again welcome....there's a ton of great info here, and lots of knowledgeable folks.

I'm going to miss this one. Ski Patrol Refresher this weekend. Have to attend or I don't Patrol this year.

Keep me posted on how it goes. And someone remind FultonCounty that MTBKSKI is going to whoop his butt at the Fun House next time they meet. No head shots to hostages this time I hope.

Well as of right now I am scheduled to work Friday and Sunday. But I still stand a chance of getting caught on the mandatory OT (to give me the wonderful pleasure of staying here for 72 hours straight!).

For me it is more of a game-time decision.

So we have one official "Can't make it" and one "I'll be there if I'm not working". If anyone else wants to chime in and update if they're coming or not, we'll know when we're all there (I hate to wait when I'm hungry! ).

I'm going to call the owner the middle of the week and tell him we'll have 6-10 coming and to tell the kids working there not to freak out if they notice any printing, etc.
