Just under 5' 11" and the bathroom scale just said I was 189 lbs.

I carry in a Tagua open top leather holster OWB at about 3:30 with a slight forward cant.
I use a 1.5 inch beltman belt, a good belt is key
and i also use a mag pouch made by Lucas

1911's are thin, it is suprising how easily they conceal.

i think the piece which is going to be most important for you is the Cant that you wear your pistol at.

it sounds like you are fairly thin so carrying a pistol straight down is not going to work (it'll look like you have a weird growth on your side / back, especially if you bend over)

Get a holster with a good amount of adjust ability so you can wear the weapon the wya it works for you. I would look very seriously at the Crossbreed Super Tuck as it allows a lot of adjustment, Also the leather rides up above the hammer which will keep your gun from getting soaked in the summer if you are outdoors and sweating a lot
The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.

Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

6'3",300 # Sparks owb or GI shoulder holster. At my height, I could probably CC a shotgun.

Would you CC a double bbl, a pump or a autoloader? Id think an O/U would be the easiest to conceal IWB

    (I'm 6'5" 265lbs)

Full sized Norinco M1911, in a Don Hume clip on IWB. Very comfortable.
