Re: No Tactical Weapons Allowed At Harrisburg Sport Show
I sent this email off to Ed Several of Reed Exibitions. Have enjoyed this show for many years and have always anticipated the trip in early March. But we must stand together NOW.
See y'all Wednesday in Harrisburg.
Dear Mr. Several,
I have been a regular attendee of the Harrisburg outdoor show since the early 70’s as I recall. I missed a few years but always look forward to booking an archery or gun hunt and enjoying the offerings of the many exhibiters.
I am appalled as is the rest of this country at the recent massacre at Sandy Hook elementary school. However your decision not “to not include certain products that in the current climate may attract negative attention” is maintaining the assumption that the ‘black rifle’ and the associated magazines are at fault.
I could not disagree more. I have been an avid shooter and hunter since 1968.The prevailing media attention to this horrible event and so many others over the years have directed the non sporting public attention to a belief that ‘it’s the guns fault’ Your company’s decision to join the media and political frenzy in blaming “certain products” and banning any associated accessories, training or even raffles is another blow to the vast majority of us who still believe in the beauty and necessity of our countries second amendment.
I applaud and join those vendors who have decided to boycott the show this year and in the future if Reed Exhibitions continues to attempt to manipulate the real cause of ANY senseless gun violence. I cannot comprehend your logic that even with the hundreds of vendors who promote customers to visit their property and shoot something, or catch a fish with a hook and most likely kill and eat it, you are concerned some reference to the recent tragic events will disrupt the show for a few. Why not just cancel the whole show because you assume all mankind is capable of being evil.
May God bless America, we need it.
Regards,
JNRA endowment

Re: No Tactical Weapons Allowed At Harrisburg Sport Show
That's exactly my thinking ..... Cabela's has put their foot down in support of our boycott and our 2-A Rights, they deserve every nickel spent there and all of our vocal support + advertisement.
Thank You ... Huge Thank You to Cabela's !
Next step : We barrage Reed with demands for the Firing of whomever issued this change to the show !" For the left, Freedom IS a Fringe Idea "

Re: No Tactical Weapons Allowed At Harrisburg Sport Show
Does anybody know who the "single retailer" was who was planning to make a media circus as mentioned here in the NSSF's press release?

It would be nice to know who it was and what the issue was as well. There may be another company out there that doesn't want our business.Sed ego sum homo indomitus

Statement made br Trop Gun Shop.
THANK YOU all for standing with us in our defense of the Second Amendment!
In order to support other Second Amendment Patriots who have also pulled out of the ES&OS, Trop will be holding a free drawing. Simply bring in a receipt of purchase from any exhibitor who has withdrawn from the Show - dated sometime during the week of the show - and you will be entered into a drawing for a free Windham Weaponry AR.
To be clear, this is a free, no purchase necessary, drawing. But you must be of age and legally allowed to own a gun in order to enter or win.
Let's stand strong together!
