No worries, not a hijack. I'd like to know where to get an Eotech clone too.

If you have reallllllllllllllllly deep pockets, you can pursue one of the "Special Edition" matching SIG522/SIG556 SWAT pairs being discussed over here:

Well, at this point I've decided on the Sig 522. If I see one at the Valley Forge show this weekend it may come home with me. I did see the Special Edition sets pop up on gunbroker. The pricing is fair but I'd have to factor in the divorce attorney etc
I do think that I'd like to move quickly from plinker to "real" black rifle though...

Re: Sig 522 or SW M&P 15-22?
not the best picture because my camera is absolute crap indoors, but i finally got the EOTech Clone, and 4x Magnifier mounted and zeroed.
the 4x adds quite a bit of weight to the gun tho. so im not sure how i feel about it yet. before i had only the EOTech clone on, and i was hitting a string at 25 yards.
im still wondering if an airsoft 556 front rail system would fit this gun. but until then i'll probably just order the SIG handguard rails so i can get a vertical grippod.

Looking good!
I'm curious, is the pistol grip replaceable on the 522?

it is, just like on the 556 rifles. but there isnt much of an aftermarket for them. you can modify ie: dremel an AR grip to fit tho.
ETA: got bored and played in photoshop to see what the "fish gill" handguard would look like on the gun, with a vertical grip and laser.
