Re: Pre season trail cams
Finally got to look at the pics on the computer. A grey fox, opossum, turkeys, a few does and fawns and atleast 7 different legal bucks. I'm getting buck fever.
Hope the picture works.
Guns don't kill people, it's mostly the bullets.

Beautiful pics keep them coming guys. They are real nice bucks all three. Reminds me of the movie three men and a baby.
Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Re: Pre season trail cams
I've heard of people going out at night with a cell phone or digital camera to wait for the IR flash to show up and then steal the camera... I don't have one, maybe I need to pick one up... lol

Re: Pre season trail cams
My son is a Jr license holder this year. We are going archery and then rifle. We have antlerless tags for two WMUs as well. We have been scouting for several weeks. I pulled a topo map and used Photoshop to overlay the land we are hunting on. I plotted out where I believed we would see deer and we have been catching a lot of doe and fawns. We have seen a few buck but we have not caught them on camera yet. It has been fun though because my son now understands how to read a topographical map, use a GPS and he also understands how to scout for a spot. He is also excited because the spot I picked for him has consistently shown a doe showing up multiple times a day. I'm hoping one of the buck in that area follow her in front of my son this year.

Re: Pre season trail cams
We have been watching him for the last three years, as much as I would love to harvest him, it's great to watch and study him to learn for when I go up state hunting. And for anyone asking why I don't harvest him the area I live in is homes to close and would be against game regulations even for archery.

^^^Ditto, ask for permission... I sure would... As long as you aren't shooting towards their houses, most people don't care, I have found out, as long as you ask first. Especially with archery... An arrow isn't going to go through 3 walls in their house to hit little Johnny...
