96D: Great! Thanks! I'll send him an Email. That's what I was looking for....just a guy with an FFL...no-nonsense, no commercialization. Thanks again!

Glocking26: Do share! If you tell me a "horror story," I'll tell you one, too. Ha.

Talking Re: FFL in Chadds Ford?

Targetmaster , every time I've been in looking at guns they all seem to have a case of the "BIGHEADS" if you know what I mean?

96D: Yep, I sure do know what you mean! I've NEVER seen anybody working in that store smile....not even once! And one time while I was at the counter, the phone rang for the owner and the bald guy answered. After he forwarded the call, he said to the other worker (in a loud tone) that the owner's homosexual friend was ready to have some fun. (I'm paraphrasing, of course). I thought that was incredibly rude and unprofessional. But then I thought, "nah, that's just TargetMaster." Ha.

I hear alot of horror stories about Targetmaster, However I cant seem to reproduce this problem. I have always been treated great up there. Getting them to order something they dont have is pulling teeth. I just buy it and have it sent in from somewhere else if I cant find one locally.

If you can't find an FFL - check on Gun Broker. They have a section where you can search for dealers by Zip code!

    Good Luck!!

    Your Welcome!

Maybe the Admin can make the link a sticky as I am sure others have the same questions!

    David Force, Chadds Ford Armory
    29 Webb Road.
    Chadds Ford, PA 19317
He lives off of Rt. 202 not far from where it intersects Rt. 1
Charged $25 + tax, IIRC, for out-of-state transfers.
I think he goes to the Allentown shows, has lots of military(-type) rifles.
    (610) 358-1831

I have not dealt with him in a couple years, though.

If you can't get Force, there's a list of some FFLs here.

Last I checked, Targetmaster charged $50 for out-of-state transfers. "The bald guy," is Chris; he knows me by name, and doesn't give me problems. The guy pictured here, I have not gotten the greatest service from. Don't bother having anyone leave a note for the owner, he won't call you.

The guy in the picture is Joe. Then theres Bob, Jim, Winston, and the owner Tom. They all know me by name. I think sometimes they hide when I come in.

I will second that. The guy in the pic is an ok guy. He helped me a few times. I dont go in there much because I am not thrilled with the attitude of the whole store. They have great selection but high prices and bad attitude. I like the internet. G

George at petes outdoor store in Kennett is a good guy to deal with.George will order anything for you.
