Re: Killing Bears 2023
I've seen a med sized male on my cams for the past 3 years, but only 1-day a year as he passes through. So we sat out in the deer stands over the weekend just to eyeball the deer population but ready to take Mr. Bear if it happened to be his traveling day..

Re: Killing Bears 2023
Went out this morning for a few hours. Kicked out two deer, saw some nice rubs and numerous fresh scrapes. Guess the guys are still chasing the gals. No bears, no other hunters.

Re: Killing Bears 2023
I don't hunt anymore, but do follow a few of the fire departments that host the check-in stations in the region. Falls Creek, Farmington Twp, and Homer City.
Most of the weights I've seen listed were in the sub 200lb range. Biggest I've seen listed was 533lbs checked in at Falls Creek.
Note, I'm not saying that was the biggest, just biggest I saw.RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland, aubie515, SteveWag
