I saw that, but how many sales/applications could Silencer Shop actually process in 2 days? 10,000? That's over 200/hr, 24hrs/day, for 2 days straight. How many employees do they have? Not sure I'm buying it.

Agreed. What more do NFA examiners actually do? It's an antiquated system, but we know change is very slow, so I don't expect much progress very soon.

NICS system should be the way to roll. Same as you, i'll gladly pay the tax of thats what the law is.
-Buy item at shop (do paperwork from online purchase after F3 transfer)
-complete paperwork
-shop performs PICS check
-upon approval customer pays NFA tax via cash/check to dealer or dealer logs into an online system and the customer pays via debit/credit. Dealer pays at the end of the week/month for all cash/check payment
-dealer gives a copy of some type of Form with stamp (sticker) saying its approved
-customer leaves that day with said item

Wow, that's pretty impressive, even for an automated system. Over 200/hour.
