Default A new hurdle to jump during the handgun purchase

Friend recently bought a handgun. After filling out the usual forms, he was directed to answer questions via keyboard and monitor. Questions such as name and address of his employer. This is similar to our local bank grilling you when you make a deposit. All done under the guise of fighting illicit drug dealers. He was depositing a check at the bank and the teller asked who he worked for...apparently unaware that information was in plain view at the top of the check.

Anyone else run into this crap while purchasing via FFL?
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

Name and address of employer has been on the PSP SP4-113 handgun Record of Sale form since the Brady instant check was instituted decades ago and on its electronic form for FFLs doing ePICS handgun sale background checks. Nothing new.

I never knew that. I'm self employed and just sign on the dotted line.

    That’s racist against the unemployed

Furthermore, asking for home address is discriminatory against homeless

    Somebody should sue

Can you clarify what you mean by that?

Do the drug dealers selling the same guns also ask for that info? If not, maybe I should buy from them instead.

I have had several FFLs over the years pleasantly warn me where NOT to carry my gun after.seeing my New Jersey employer on the form.
