What*s funny is people leave NY and NJ for a better life and they are treated like outsiders by responses like these. Instead of having a close minded shitty attitude towards it do YOUR part and educate them properly, they grew up their whole lives believing something and that doesn*t change when some redneck badgers them for making a change. Our *culture* is about growth and understanding and tolerance and if WE cannot tolerate someone*s ignorance to understand what they need from us to grow we will fall too. This is America no matter what part of it you live in!!!
You're missing the point. No one in PA is objecting to those who leave NJ/NY and embrace their new life in PA. The problem is those that bring their NY/NJ bullshit with them and try to recreate the place they just left. We don't want more restaurants, stores, trash pickups, parking garages, police, etc. We don't want a prohibition on shooting on your own property or open carrying. We don't want more gun laws. We don't want the block parties with 50 cars and the the music blasting so people from 8 towns over can hear it. We don't want trash on the streets, laws, etc. We don't want any of that shit that made the place they left the shithole it is. If you do, then move the F back. And no, I am not going to simply tolerate people destroying my neighborhood. You can F right off with that.

It*s pretty clear that the only point I*m missing is your inferiority complex. Seems like this is another keyboard tough guy rant about something you know nothing about. Just because someone moves from another state does not change the state you live in. I mean dude please pull your head out of your azz and stop. Just to be clear I*ve lived in both NY and NJ and the things you state YOU don*t want is YOUR small minded opinion and more places to eat or stores to buy the things you need is now an issue? No it*s an issue for people like you. Block parties happen once it*s cleared with the twp and the entire neighborhood is INVITED to them to enjoy food and drinks to get to know each other better. If you*re bothered by that maybe you should leave your house from time to time and get acquainted with your neighbors or did they already realize not to bother with you cause of your piss poor attitud. I assure you you would have the balls to talk like this is I was standing in front of you. I*m not going back and forth with you any further. Good luck to you

Based on the comments I've seen in this thread, very few of you have actually read the bill. It's much worse than simply a "Ghost Gun Ban".

    First, it redefines firearm frames:
"Firearm frame or receiver." A part of a firearm that, when
assembled, is visible from the exterior and provides housing or
a structure designed to hold or integrate one or more fire
control components, including pins, a hammer, bolts, a bolt
carrier, breechblock, cylinder, trigger mechanism, firing pin,
striker, slide rail or other attachments that are required to
connect components to the housing or structure necessary for the
firearm to initiate, complete or continue a firing sequence.
And it defines AR upper receivers and Glock slides as frames:
"Split or modular firearm frame or receiver." A firearm with
more than one part that provides housing or a structure designed
to hold or integrate one or more fire control or essential
internal components. The term includes frames or receivers of
different weapons that are combined to create a similar weapon
with each retaining respective classifications as frames or
receivers provided the original design and configuration of the
    frames or receivers remains unaltered.
This means that both Glock slides and AR-15 upper receivers would be defined as receivers, just the same as Glock frames and AR lower receivers.

"Fire control or essential integral components" is also defined in the bill:
"Fire control or essential internal component." A component
necessary for the firearm to initiate, complete or continue the
firing sequence, including a hammer, bolt, bolt carrier,
breechblock, cylinder, trigger mechanism, firing pin, striker or
    slide rails.
The way I'm reading this, the bill would make it illegal to sell any Pistol slide or AR-15 upper receiver without going through an FFL, and would require you to have them serialized just like a lower receiver or handgun frame.

I stand by everything I said and I don't post anything online that I wouldn't say to someone's face. Why the heck wouldn't I? I'm entitled to speak my mind. I don't know where you get this "tough guy" crap from. I didn't threaten anyone. I'll defend myself if need be, but I'm well past the age of starting a physical altercation with anyone. At this point, I feel even more strongly about it now that we have yet another NY'er blasting his music at all hours, letting his dog wander all the F over, riding his ATV on private land, etc. No respect for others and no respect for the peace and quiet that people moved out to the country for. Straight up trash turning our community into the one he ran away from. Go to Philly, Allentown, Stroudsburg, etc. with that crap. Those places are always f'd so who cares?

Yes. Stroudsburg and everywhere up 611 through Bartonsville, Tannersville and Mt Pocono is just peachy and wonderful. No problems at all, because nobody from NJ or NY brought their problems with them.

And Hazleton up through WB is glorious because if it is effed up, it was solely people here in PA that effed it up. Oh wait...

I grew up in NJ. I'm old enough to have seen what all the mass migrations in the late 70s, 80s and early 90s did to eastern and NE PA.

So yeah, it was people from NJ and NY that completely effed it up. All of them? Of course not. But a lot of them. Certainly a lot of them. And I'll say that to anyone's face, because it's 100% true.

I can't answer for anyone else but I am a NJ transplant. My neighbor is from NYC along with a few others. All of us transplanted are supporters of Limited government and we understand why we fled. However, in our area of Bucks county there are more and more apartments being built. The people from NJ and NY moving in there are 90% Democrat and are voting Democrat. The complain on FB that we need more street lights, included trash pick up, more teachers, more gun laws, etc.

It's so frustrating to see people this dumb, creating the exact same environment they recently fled----the only reason they don't see it because in NY and NJ they were paying $22K for local taxes now they're paying $11K or believe they pay nothing because they rent. This state has changed a lot since I moved here in 2012. The AG, Governor, State senate and house were ALL red! Every single county was RED except the big cities. Local governments were RED and my property taxes were $5200 per year and now they're $11800. An area that we love our kids and US will not be able to retire here---it's too expensive.

Now for the "good" news, There's 400,000 less Democrat voters in PA and for the first time, the gap is closing rapidly in PA between D and R. However, these new districts for the house suck and the only way we can take it back is every damn Republican and fed up "I" needs to vote this leftist crap out. If not, then in a matter of a few years, NJ will seem like a good option compared to PA.

NY/NJ refugees who flee their socialist nightmare and come to PA, then demand the same policies that created those nightmares, are like battered women who inevitably hook up with the same type of brutal, domineering assholes they just escaped.

Except it's not just them who suffer. They're like cancer cells, drifting away from the tumor and colonizing healthy tissue, turning that into a different tumor.

The Left is so very different from the right in 1 key way: The Right wants to be left alone to profit or fail from our own efforts & choices. The Left insists that other people share the consequences of the Left's idiocy, and that we all pay for their whoops-babies, their drug addictions, their Pan-African Sapphic Poetry Deconstruction Master's degrees, their gender reassignment; the Left is outraged than some people might talk to each other (at Catholic schools, for example) in ways of which the Left disapproves.

Leave us alone. You don't want a gun, don't buy a gun. You want open borders, then we can outlaw gated communities and you and your kids can mingle with the Stone Age savages swarming into this trusting land with prisons that are nicer than the hotels in their old countries.

I feel the same way about abortions. Against abortion? Then don't get one. Leave everyone else the hell alone.

The insistence on controlling women's bodies is what causes a lot of people for democrats when they otherwise wouldn't. If I were a woman of breeding age, there is no fucking way I would vote for the Republicans.

I escaped the PRNJ 28 years ago. Gun laws were one of the biggest reasons among many.

I don't take offense at PA residents blaming front players from destroying Eastern Pa because it's true. I blame them too.
