Barrel protection?
Got several barrels for my Remington 870 Wingmaster.
18in slug-sight
26in IC
28in Mod
30in Full
Need some kinda protective sleeves to keep them from clanging together in my case without a bunch of excess material.
Any ideas?I don't speak English , I talk American!

Shotgun sock cut to fit. Screw it for 10 bucks. Cut them in half and sew back together.

Re: Barrel protection?
Do you have some old jeans and access to a sewing machine? I made a bunch of sleeves this way for my Contender barrels. It should only take a few minutes per sleeve (depending on how anal you are about how it looks). And don't worry about a fancy closing mechanism. Just make the sleeve a foot longer than the barrel and fold it over.
Old towels work too.

When storing with protective sleeves the material has to breathe so as not trap moisture.

I was thinking something similar to silicone-treated Sack-Ups , which I keep most of my long guns and several handguns in , only smaller in length and width.

M-60 barrels had an OD canvas sleeve. Don't think it would fit over the loop though.
SG has M2 barrel sleeves , but they're too big.I don't speak English , I talk American!

Re: Barrel protection?
They are USA made. I use similar ones for all my shotguns, they protect the stocks from getting scratches too because that's important to me. The Chinese socks are made with that cheap silicone impregnated moisture absorbing knit material.

I also have the Beretta sleeves for my over and under but they are quite a bit more expensive. They come in two parts at $15 a piece.

Re: Barrel protection?
Thanx or the ideas. I even tried some knee-high cotton tube socks. All too bulky. Went with some protective expanding plastic mesh we use at work to protect machined shafts. They're in a protective case , I just wanted to prevent metal to metal contact.
