Re: What did you buy yourself today (Photo thread)...
I have been considering picking up a PMR 30 for some time. I just sold a gun, so the cash was burning a hole in my pocket. A local shop got a new one in but when I started asking questions he said he also had taken a used one in on trade. I’m okay with used, so I bought it.

Well, needed something to haul the firearms to and from the range Added a truck to the family, wife said go for it so I just had to...……...finally going to have to cut down on the gun purchases! Maybe. I was going with the Cajun Red Clearcoat but I waited 1/2 day to decide and it was sold so went with black which is what my wife said she really wanted me to get. She said the red one being sold was a sign - I think she had someone buy it so that I would have to get the black ……………… just sayin! But I do like the black for sure.

Picked up a blued steel Colt 1911 Government Model in 38 Super from ScotsGuards this past weekend:
Not mine, but it's identical. The trigger pull was AMAZINGLY crisp, and gauged right at 4.0 lbs. The sights DO NOT move when the hammer drops.
Took it to the range at lunchtime and proceeded to disintegrate a softball-sized chunk of shale at 15 yards with one fully-loaded magazine. Going to have to put it on paper and see for real what the accuracy is.
It's going to make a fine companion to my exceptionally accurate alloy-framed Commander-sided Dan Wesson in 38 Super.
