PGC takes semi-auto hunting off the table for 2019/2020
https://www.facebook.com/notes/penns...5579801140566/
Semi-auto big game is off the table after input from the public and members of the General Assembly.
I'm taking this as Wolf and anti-2a politicians pushing the idea that semi-autos have "no legitimate use" in preparation for a ban attempt.Last edited by ar15_shooter; February 1st, 2019 at 06:36 PM.

Saw part of a segment on the local news yesterday where a gin shop guy was explaining how they are legal for hunting in many other states.

That didn't take long.
Guess the AR10 will see no hunting love in Pa this year.

Every state.
Also started looking into this "great tradition of hunting in PA" that we must not desecrate.
Looks like PA has a lot of really bad hunters.
Most recent numbers is 820k hunters with 367,000 deer taken; last state I lived in was 284k deer taken with 277k permit holders.
Looks like traditional PA hunters like to drink beer and stand in the woods instead of actually, ya know, shooting a deer.

Pretty fucking amazing (pathetic) that you cannot get enough gun owners to do much of anything to support their sport, but they can rally against firearms quickly.
assuming everything was on the up and up.

...this is my shocked face.
I'll be out again next year with my straight pull FAL and 20 round mags.

The PGC is nothing but a political entity that is trying to protect their jobs. The same as any other governmental agency.
