Those Choate stocks are nothing to look at, but great quality and design. Had one on my first shotgun.

I bought an M39, a Century Arms L1A1, an RIC Carbine, a Mark 1 carbine, and put a RPK on layaway from Atlantic Firearms.

May I ask what you paid for the pair? If they were mine I would do absolutely nothing to them.

Another day, another .32. This is a Franz Stock 7.65mm, made around 1923 in Berlin. Eight shots, striker fired. It is an improvement to the basic design of the Becker&Hollander Beholla of WWI vintage. It was also available in 6.35mm and there even was a .22LR target model. About 45,000 total production in all calibers over about 12 years.

Everything else is original to the pistol including the firing pin and it appears it has not been shot since import due to the cosmoline in the main spring and firing pin sleeve.

Gave it a quick dissemble and wipe down and put 5 rounds of federal aluminum through both mags and it ran great. While it's not a safe queen it's still a nice working example with a good original finish that was an affordable addition to my WWII pistol collection. Before I came across this I had given up on looking for something in my price range since I have seen lesser condition Lugers sell for 50% more then I paid for this.

nice, last 2 i've seen were horribly pitted. Pre-ww2 handguns are the only thing I'm interested in anymore.

Not today, but about a week ago I came upon a used Dan Wesson Guardian in 38 Super that had fired 24 rounds. The pic is not of mine, but the gun appears the same but for darker grips.

It also came with 21 full boxes of factory FMJ, one partial, and two full boxes of JHP. Unfortunately I've had no time to shoot it.
