The gun in the guy’s hand didn’t look like a political stunt. Not sure what kind of person would risk certain death for a political stunt

Maybe he just wanted to exploit the gunshow loophole?

Maybe but I think most people would drop their gun when surrounded by 7 cops with guns drawn just to make a point

The cop instantly backed up and drew his weapon as did about 6-7 more officers. At that point I ran and got behind one of the police cars and worked my way into the building. I’d love to know what the outcome was. My other question is, why are people taking out their phone cameras and walking towards the event? In an active situation with 7-8 guns out who knows where any stray bullets might fly.
I was just arriving when the incident occurred. I had just walked past, toward the entrance when I saw two cops (in uniform) running past me drawing guns. Then I heard them yelling "drop the gun!" behind me. I saw other folks start drawing guns; I can't believe that there were that many undercover cops in attendance, I think they must have been CC Permit holders, or at least I hope so. At that point, I ducked inside the hall. The situation looked anything but stable, and I did not care to stop a stray bullet. If anybody finds a news story about this, please share!

No I wouldn't and I don't have a problem with complying with their request.

I'm surprised a bunch of attendee's didn't draw and come running to help the cops.

I think they did, and I doubt the cops were at all happy to see more drawn guns

I can understand them not being happy if that did happen. The cops have no way to know who is friendly and who is a threat. I can’t see a good reason for pulling a weapon with all those cops already standing there with weapons drawn.
