I'm toying with the idea of a deer gun with some Lehigh defense ammo.

I've been using the Lehigh 115 copper controlled chaos with 20.0 gr of H110 out of my Ruger Ranch 300 BLK. Been getting consistent 1-inch, 5 shot groups at 100 yds. Overall very happy with that little bullet and the entire setup.

Not sure that I follow. I don't consider this a long range gun at all. Think 30-30 lite.

Yep. 300blk is much closer to an ak ballistically. I have plans to zero this at 50 yards and shoot it no further than 100 really. Thought it would make a good woods gun. Short light and suppressed

Ok yeh I understand the 300 blackout round is not ideal for long range precision shooting. I just figured that taking it to the 50 yard indoor range would not be as fun as a 100 to 300 yard range.

I got it out today and I'll say this. It takes quite a bit to impress me anymore as I've got a good list of fun stuff. I never expected to enjoy a 400 dollar bolt gun like this. I can't recommend it enough

I plan on deer hunting with it. I'm sure some dudes are gonna shit bricks when they see a rifle that looks like a 22 with a can on it.
