My oldest boy's 7th birthday is coming up in April, he'll be getting his first rifle then. I'm planning on getting each of the kids a rifle when they turn 7.

I've been trying to get my 13 year old daughter to go to the range with me. She WON'T! Mommy will, but this one won't. I'm thinking about getting her a .44 magnum I've been looking at for a long time. Sure, she won't ever use it. But that just means 'one more' in my pile! Am I eligible for "Dad of the Year" or what?

By the way, I neededto post this because i was stuck on post #666, and I don't want that to last long, especially on the eve of our Savior's birth! Merry Christmas all!!

What's wrong with you people. Kids should never see or learn any thing about guns. That way when they find one they can learn about them by playing with it.

    just like sex?

If God didn't intend us to have guns why would he have given us a trigger finger?

I suggested to the Mrs that we get Daughter #1 a .22 rifle for her 12 birthday in January. Mrs. shot it down...pun intended. She has no problem with me taking her to the range...she just balked at her owning her own. I'll have to do some more convincing...

I think that phrase references guns...unless nuns taught you in middle school, in which case, you are spot on
