Sig Sauer P220 - negative feedback?
I have been saving my nickels to buy a P220 in .45ACP ever since I shot one back in 2001. I have done alot of research in that time frame, but have yet to come up with any negative feedback on the Sig weapons.
Any of you guys have a bad experience with a Sig? I would like to hear about it.
Thanks.VEGETARIAN: Native American word meaning "bad hunter"

A friend of mine has a Sig in .40 S&W. I forget the model number, but it is very nice to shoot. If I could afford one, I'd get one.

Re: Sig Sauer P220 - negative feedback?
I have a P220 on lay away so I can't comment on that model yet. But I also have a Sig Trailside .22LR, a P225 P6, a P229R .40 and my CCW is a P239 .40 with CTC grips. Over all I have to say I am happy with Sig products

I would say so! Very impressive handgun collection.
Everyone I have spoken with and every article I have read says the same thing: great guns, unequaled quality, and they shoot forever. I guess that is for a reason.
I am going to go ahead and buy the P220.VEGETARIAN: Native American word meaning "bad hunter"

Re: Sig Sauer P220 - negative feedback?
I have a pretty decent collection of pistols, and my P220ST is my favorite. My only bad experience with it is when I took it to the range and forgot the mags.

Re: Sig Sauer P220 - negative feedback?
The only negative you ever hear about Sigs is propensity towards rust.

Re: Sig Sauer P220 - negative feedback?
Although I haven't owned a sig, I have shot a couple. They shot very well and were pretty nice, although I'm not a huge fan of the DOA trigger, I will say theirs is better than most. Their SA/DA pistols are very nice and I like them alot. I have only heard good things about them.

I will definitely go for the DA/SA. I am not a fan of the DOA guns.

I carry a two-tone P-220 every day and I have been in all kinds of weather, rain , snow, sleet, etc and never, ever has there been a rust issued with my pistol.

LOL!! Awww man. I hope you had something else to shoot. I know I can't go to the range with gust one gun.
BearTitan,
I have transfered quite a few Sigs and have yet to hear any complaints about them. Except for jacks post. But it sounds like you just got a good piece of advice from him. GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!"Ya only need legs to kick ass baby boy" - Bartender in Feast III
