    Default S&W 66-1

I was strong today! I love sexy revolvers but past on a S&W 66-1. Early model with no lock and pinned.
Was just the gun, no box.
What would you're "can't pass" price be for this - I still have time - lol.
Not the gun, but same one on GB. Overall it's in great shape.

    $450?
    $550?

I dropped $450 for my 66-1 a few years ago, but it's the 4" barrel variant instead of the harder to find 2".

For $450-$550 it would have come home with me - lol. Checking completed auctions on GB the cheapest one went for $800 then others went for $900+. And then shipping and tax and % if you use cc.
The one I can get would be around $700 all in. A good price I feel, but just not smokin

500.00 if you*re just looking for a good deal, if it*s the exact model you want for collector gun the 700.00 wouldn*t be to bad.
    Today was a good day!

I have one of those. It was the first gun I bought after getting on the job in 1985. I kept the box and brown bag it came in. Not sure where they are after I moved. Does the original box make it that much better ?

The 2.5" is the most desirable version, as is the -1 engineering change, and you passed on it for $700? That might be a lot of $$$, but not for a 2.5" 66-1. Saw one sell a year ago for $950, no box, and another last October, NIB, for $1285.

As far as the box, for collectible pieces box does add some value. Always nice to have everything

My astonishment that Cruzans actually did NOT buy a gun was shortlived.

It is a shiny gun, and its cruzans. Sooner or later it would've wound up in his collection regardless.
