Default Gun ownership on the decline

    http://www.msnbc.com/msnbc/us-gun-ownership-declining

This doesn't look good for gun owners. I believe if gun ownership continues to decline, gun control groups will grow and they'll out number gun rights groups by a long shot. What do you guys think?

This was already discussed. The study is out of Chicago. Are the results a surprise?

Depends upon the survey size, where the survey was taken and what time of day it was taken. Whether people lied or not.

Would you tell a total stranger that you have firearms in your home? Many would not do so.

Does such a survey really matter? 32 percent of 320,000,000 people is 102,000,000 people. More gun owners than there are African Americans, Latinos or Asian Americans.

How many know Concealed Carry Permit holders out there? 11,000,000? Kind of suspicious that one in ten of us are licensed.

I suspect that there are LOT more gun owners out there than this survey indicates. Sure are a lot of Brady Checks for such a small minority. Anyone else believe that 100,000,000 gun owners are purchasing on average a firearm every few months?

The CDC did a survey of gay persons.

The study, which aims to assess health indicators, behaviors and access to care in the gay community, found that approximately 96 percent of Americans described themselves as straight, .7 percent said they were bisexual, and just over 1 percent identified as “something else” or didn’t provide an answer.

I'm not going to step on people's personal choices. I'm just pointing out that in the US people seem to do a lot of accommodating for just 1.6 percent of the population.

Yet a minority at least twenty times larger needs to do.... what?

I think for a long shot, you'll need a Sharps rifle.

Personally, I would prefer something in .338 Lapua or 7mm mag.
