Re: J. C. Garand Match-Tulpehocken Rifle & Pistol Club
Count me in Pete. I just loaded 55 rounds of 7.62x54r, so I'm ready to go.
Shrewd, course of fire in the past has been 5 shots prone, unscored sighters, then 20 rounds prone slow fire (20 minutes), 10 rounds prone rapid fire (70 seconds), 10 rounds sitting rapid fire (70) seconds, and 10 rounds standing slow fire (10 minutes). Scoring is everything inside the 5-ring. Outside the 5 is a miss. 500 points max, x-rings for tie-breakers. All shots at 200 yards. This is a fun competition, not serious. Every shooter will be required to work the pit and score another shooter.
Hope to see you there, introduce yourself, I'll be the guy shooting the Mosin-Nagant 91/30.Power always thinks...that it is doing God's service when it is violating all his laws.

Rock-it3
I scored that Mosin Nagant last year and remember you shot it very well, a bit of difficulty with elevation as I recall, probably due to the sights.
Hope to make it again this year, haven't shot the Garand for a while need to get some ammo loaded and sighted in at 200.

Unfortunately, I just found out that I may have to go to NC to help start up a piece of equipment we built for a company down there. I may not be able to make the shoot. Plans may change, but if you don't see me there, that's where I'll be.
